With pedal-powered blenders, washing machines, televisions and even iPads already on the market, perhaps it should come as little surprise to learn of the latest bicycle-inspired contraption: the Fit-Wet pedal-powered jacuzzi.

The makers of the Fit-Wet claim the increased resistance and massaging effect of the water makes the pedal-powered Jacuzzi superior to a traditional exercise bike.

The Fit-Wet Jacuzzi is an unusual idea, but the eccentricity of pedal-powered vehicles has yet to peak, if the following radical creations are anything to go by.

Cycle insurance from the ETA will not cover a pedal-powered jacuzzi, but it does protect against theft, accidental damage and vandalism (including at race events) and includes £5m third party insurance, a breakdown recovery service for cyclists and worldwide cover.
