BVRLA releases updated guide
June 5, 2009
The British Vehicle Renting and Leasing Association (BVRLA) has released a new document which could help improve driver safety.
An updated version of the body’s guidelines for those who get behind the wheel at work has been unveiled.
The online handbook offers motorists safety advice and tips, as well as details of the latest laws and changes that could affect them.
Also included in the document is help for those compiling a corporate driving policy which employees getting behind the wheel must follow.
John Lewis, chief executive for BVRLA, said: "Every person driving at work presents a risk, and health and safety law applies just as much to on-the-road activities as it does to the conventional workplace."
He added that the guide is useful for those who travel many miles each day and for those who make only a few short journeys every month.
