Cycle Travel 101
July 16, 2018
When Canadians Friedel and Andrew first started cycle touring, they two commuter bikes that were, by their own admission, in terrible shape and almost no cycling experience.
It was a desire to travel independently and to experience the ‘places inbetween’ that encouraged them to try cycle touring. The couple started with a big dream – to cycle around the world. They recognised the plan was ambitious but reasoned they could always trade in their bikes for backpacks if it all went wrong.
30 countries and over 60,000km later, their experience has formed the basis of a website called Travelling Two dedicated to encouraging others to do the same.
If you’re toying with the idea of cycle touring, you can download a free 86-page eBook on the subject.
