Ejector saddle vs bicycle thief
February 4, 2015
If you're a cyclist with little sympathy with bike thieves, you might be in the market for an ejector saddle.
Powered by compressed air, the ejector saddle is punched 2 metres into the air if not first disarmed by the bike’s owner.
The ejector saddle was developed by the ETA, a leading cycle insurance company that has already tested satellite tracking as a way of locating stolen bicycles.
A spokesperson for the ETA said: “Whether it’s fully-comp insurance or a piece of tech, our aim is to keep cyclists one step ahead of thieves.”
