Family 'distraught' after bike theft

A family in Oxford have been left devastated after falling victim to bike theft.

Liam Bubb and his wife Zoe, who have two children, explained to the Oxford Times that the bicycles were their only means of transport

Mrs Bubb told the newspaper: "The first thing my daughter said was: ‘We can’t go on bike rides any more’. It broke my heart."

The couple commented that the family bikes, one of which was worth £800, were the most expensive possessions they owned.

"He [Mr Bubb] had to work really hard to be able to have such expensive bikes. It really made me angry. We are a one-income family. We have two small children. We live in a two-bedroom council flat and we can’t afford to replace the bicycles," Mrs Bubb added.
