Swytch e-bike kit costs less than £400
July 17, 2024
As the popularity of e-bikes continues to surge, retro-fit electric motors offer a cost-effective way to join the movement. The Swytch kit is compatible with almost every type of bicycle, and prices start at less than £400. The package includes a motorised front wheel, a battery pack, and a handlebar-mounted control system.
Crucially, installation is straightforward. Even for those of us with limited technical skills.
Hybrid upgrade for any bicycle
Simply replace your existing front wheel with the one provided with the kit, attach the battery pack to the handlebars, and connect the cables. The kit comes in 13 different wheel sizes. And if none of those match your bike, you can select the hub-only option and get a wheel built up at your nearest Swytch partner store.
Despite its relatively low cost, the Swytch kit boasts a 250-watt motor. The smallest battery pack option clips to a bike's handlebars, while the largest hangs beneath the top tube.
Retro-fit electric motors are a game-changer for cyclists wanting a cost-effective e-bike. Whether you're commuting, shopping, or exploring, they offer a practical and economical way to boost your riding experience.
