Royal bicycle takes to London streets

An estimated 85,000 cyclists took part in London’s Skyride event on Sunday, including two who looked remarkably similar to their majesties the Queen and Prince Charles.

Leading cycle insurance brand, ilovemybike.co.uk designed and built the ‘royal’ float for the event and distributed over 3,000 free badges to children during the ride.

A spokesperson at the Environmental Transport Association (ETA) said: “Once again the Skyride was a huge success and with impeccable timing it demonstrated the best way to beat a tube strike.”

The mass bike ride is now in its fourth year and has always enjoyed good weather; sunny spells and a light breeze made for ideal cycling conditions on Sunday.
